Cassandra Zane is the other Zane Twin that was recruited by Merlin to oppose Morgan Le Fey.  Unlike her brother, she was born a witch and as such, has control of a great many elements.  Her spells are varied by color - if you see black fire appear in her hands, run!


Another gift of hers is dream premonitions.  In her case, she has just one; a vision of her and the Son of Death Oz hand in hand defeating Morgan Le Fey.  Because of this and her insistence that Oz is the key, Merlin reluctantly allows her and Caspian to venture out into the realm of humans to find him.


Much like her brother, Cassandra has no wish to discuss her parents or whatever happened to them so many years ago.  The Zanes' parents are a great mystery, one neither Twin is looking to rehash.

Cover Reveal Book 3

At this point, you probably didn't expect to hear from me so soon.  Well I'm far enough along in the book that I feel comfortable revealing the cover for the next book.  But before I do, all the email and support I got yesterday was awesome.  Because of that, I decided to run a sale starting tomorrow on Death Among Us and Old War Stories.


Death is going to be on sale for 99 cents for the next 7 days and War Stories is going to be free.  How can you beat that?!  2 books for 99 cents?  Jack you must be insane!  Well I am, and I think that's why you all like my books.  I hope you all take advantage if you haven't read any of them yet, as the book 3 train is getting closer to the station.


I'll answer one question quick before I reveal the cover and call it a day.  Marc wanted to know if Derrick was finally going to curve his womanizing ways.  Well, he tries, I'll give him that much credit, but he's still Derrick after all.  Plus his new fling just happened to be the inspiration for this...

Sequel and Cover Updates

Morning everyone. It's way to early to be up, but I'm still not used to west coast time. My inner clock says its almost nine, but my physical clock says its not even six a.m. Most mornings lately I've been writing a chapter of the next book in the Grimm's Reapers series. Yesterday I put the finishing touches on chapter five so all is going well.

My research into the field of writing tells me that the cover is the most important part. I guess I'm different than some authors where I wanted to have a title to the story and cover finished before I started writing the story. For Death Among Us, I went simple with just a scythe thinking that would best symbolize the book. I was wrong. Since the new cover featuring Roxanne went live a few days ago, sales have picked back up.

When my friend made the Roxanne cover for me, he also gave me a concept for the next cover. Part of me really wants to show everyone, as I think it is totally ass kicking. The other part of me wants to wait a bit and let the anticipation build. I mean books sales are based on creating a buzz and getting people to a fever pitch right?

As you can tell, the stories name is Old War Stories and the cover is featuring Veronica, our friendly neighborhood angel. That's all I'm giving you people, at least for today. Also, tell your friends, I'm sure they'd like to see it too.
